NC Communications announces launch of new European Office 365 Connect conference

Two-day event features 16 speakers and 26 seminars on Microsoft's new wave of cloud technologies in The Netherlands in April.

JANUARY 9, 2014, LYMM, CHESHIRE, UK. – Microsoft technical education specialist NC Communications is to hold its debut European Office 365 Connect conference in The Netherlands in April.

European Office 365 Connect will take place at the Philharmonie Theatre, Haarlem, on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2, 2014.

The two-day conference is for IT managers, application developers and other IT professionals who are considering or already making the transition to Microsoft's cloud computing products for business. These include Office 365, SharePoint Online and Exchange 365.

European Office 365 Connect will feature 26 seminars in three streams from 16 of the biggest experts in the business. Keynote speakers include Power Pivot and Excel specialist and author Michiel Rozema from Microsoft Netherlands and British platform architect Seb Matthews, a popular speaker who sits on a number of boards of cloud-oriented companies.

Delegates can also look forward to two sessions on the cloud and migration from peerless American journalist Dan Holme. Holme has written countless articles for SharePoint Pro Magazine and numerous best-selling books and will be NBC Television's Microsoft technologies consultant for this year's winter Olympics.

Other luminaries include Austrian Office Online Services specialist Martina Grom, Unified Communications & Collaborations (UCC) MVP Johan Delimon and Britain's Matthew Hughes, founder of the Office 365 UK User Group. The conference will be conducted in English.

Sessions will be based on the real-life experience of the speakers and will cover key topics for success with Office 365 including migration from on-premises to the cloud, working in hybrid environments, building and using apps, search optimisation, security and identity management, incorporating Windows Azure and using PowerShell. There will be seminars about Lync Online, Yammer and Microsoft Project Online.

NC Communications is one of Europe's most respected providers of Microsoft-oriented business technology events. Its annual two-day SharePoint Connections conference in Amsterdam, for example, is a firm fixture in the Microsoft technical education calendar.

The conference attracts hundreds of delegates each year and features the world's top experts on Microsoft's collaborative technologies. In 2013, SharePoint Connections was named as one of the top three SharePoint conferences in the world by application development giant Infragistics.

NC Communications managing director Nigel Clapham says: "Our audience of IT professionals are finding that the pressure for them to get to grips with cloud deployment is growing fast. As Microsoft itself shifts toward cultivating this environment, we found we were being asked more and more to provide an event like this."

Clapham says that by attending European Office 365 Connect, beginners and experts alike will be fully armed for the transitions to come. He says that he expects that the conference will become an annual event.

"In our experience, The Netherlands is the perfect place for our Microsoft-oriented events as the country is easy to reach and popular with IT professionals all round Europe," says Clapham.  "At our last SharePoint Connections conference in Amsterdam in November, for instance, we had speakers and delegates from around 14 countries, which says it all."

Early bird passes to European Office 365 Connect cost just  €499 until January 31. Thereafter, passes are €599.
