Paul Tuohy
Paul Tuohy, author of Re-engineering RPG Legacy Applications and The Programmer’s Guide to iSeries Navigator, is a prominent consultant/trainer/educator for application modernization and development technologies on the IBM i. He currently holds positions as CEO of ComCon, a consultancy firm based in Dublin, Ireland, and founding partner of System i Developer, the consortium of top educators who produce the acclaimed RPG & DB2 Summit. He also produces the popular iTalk with Tuohy audio blog. Previously, he worked as IT Manager for Kodak Ireland Ltd. and Technical Director of Precision Software Ltd.

In addition to hosting and speaking at the RPG & DB2 Summit, Paul has been an award-winning speaker at COMMON, COMMON Europe Congress and other conferences throughout the world. His articles and audio blogs frequently appear in IBM Systems Magazine, The Four Hundred Guru, RPG Developer and other leading publications.

Steve Bradshaw
Steve is the founder and Managing Director of UK-based Power Systems specialist Rowton IT Solutions, Technical Director of  the i-UG (CommonGB) and a technical author for PowerWire.
He also sits on the Common Europe Advisory Council (CEAC) which helps IBM shape the future of IBM i.

Steve has been working in the IBM Business partner community since 1988, the very year the AS/400 was launched.  Initially working as an RPG developer on the System/36 and AS/400, before making the switch to Systems Architecture and Engineering in 1998.   In 2008 he founded his
own consultancy, Rowton IT, who pride themselves on being one of the leading IBM POWER consultancies in Europe.  Steve himself has specialised in Power systems and spends most of his time designing, implementing and supporting these fabulous systems.

  Alison Butterill
Alison is the World-Wide Product Manager for IBM i. In this role, she works with the entire IBM i team to define the future of IBM i including the content for releases and technology refreshes. Her responsibilities include working with the IBM i sales, marketing, development and clients and partners to ensure that the IBM i Operating System and associated software products reflect their requirements. 
Having worked in the mid-range area for more than 30 years, Alison has held a wide variety of positions at IBM, primarily with midrange servers and software. She has held a range of positions including field Systems Engineer, an instructor in Customer Technical Education, national support representative for IBM Canada, and Worldwide Technical Marketing support representative for the development tools and compilers from the IBM Toronto Laboratory.   
Alison is a regular speaker at industry and technical conferences around the world.

  David Spurway
David Spurway has over 22 years of experience within IBM Systems, as he started work with IBM in 1995. David has worked in a variety of roles, include Support, Technical Sales, Implementation, Management and Systems Architecture. He now works as the IBM Power Systems Product Manager for the UK and Ireland, a role he began in 2012 with responsibility for the platform in all guises.  Over the years, he has presented at a range of internal and external conferences.  No stranger to the group, David has presented on the benefits of the platform and where it is heading and remains an authority in this area.

  Andy Youens
Andy is an IBM i Consultant/Instructor at FormaServe, who has over 32 years IT experience working with IBM midrange servers.
His specialities are IBM i, RPG, PHP, CL, Zend Server, Zend Frameworks, SQL and DB2.
He is also an accomplished instructor and an article writer specialising in programming on the IBM i.
Prior to his IT career, Andy is proud to have served 10 years in the Royal Navy as a communications expert.

  Tracy Eastwood
Tracy Eastwood is the company owner and managing director of Lime Computer Services, who are primarily a software development company specialising in IBMi. 
Tracy has worked in the IBM midrange community since before the IBMi and AS400 starting with the S/36, his skill set is predominately RPG and all things related to this fantastic programming language. 
He also has a passion for the modernisation of the IBMi platform with an endeavour to show it's full potential as a very modern world class server.

  Mike Ryan
Mike has been associated with the IBM Mid-Range since 1977 and has made a career in Systems and Data Management.  Mike has grown with the IBM Midrange and POWER systems, always seeking out the best way to configure, implement and get the very best out of all the systems, new and old.
In getting to grips with more and more ways to manage and bring out the most in IBMs POWER platform, Mike has embraced many new technologies, philosophies and methods to make use of the many flavours of O/S on the POWER systems and is well placed to make comment on current market trends and opportunities.  
Now as the Chairman of i-UG and Common UK – and spurred on by IBM’s new found love of the IBM i O/S- Mike is putting forward some challenging, independent and pragmatic views on the options we have for growing, adapting and looking after our systems and applications as the platform moves inexorably forward.

  Pete Samways
Pete Samways is an expert in the development, modernisation and mobilisation of IBM i applications, particularly in the logistics sector. He is responsible for delivering projects on behalf of Gebrüder Weiss and Agility amongst others.
He is also a contributor to PowerWire, particularly on the subject of PHP on the IBM i.

  Shahid Latif
Shahid has worked in a number of roles delivering global solutions to multi-nationals as well as domestic solutions for smaller enterprises.
He manages STREAM, a multi award-winning cloud-based delivery and transport management software application and is joint UK product manager for Fresche's development, modernisation, mobilisation and delivery suite for IBM i and multi-platform solutions.

  John Taylor
John is Chairman of the Typex Group . Typex specialises in helping businesses to save money with IP Telephony and Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC2). It is a Business Partner of IBM, HP, ShoreTel and Gamma Telecom. John is an author of four IBM Redbooks and of magazine articles and he speaks on UC2 at customer conferences worldwide. He is an IT Infrastructure Systems Architect certified by The Open Group to TOGAF 8 standards. He is the architect of IBM's BlueNotes family of software products which integrate IBM Notes and Domino with IBM servers. John is a Chartered Civil Engineer by profession and lives in Northumberland.

  Ash Giddings
With more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry and coming from an operational background, Ash Giddings is a technically astute Product Manager. He has worked for some of the largest Data Centers in Europe and in the US has advised large companies on major projects to save costs and improve efficiencies.  
He began his career on IBM Mainframe before moving onto midrange systems such as IBM i and AIX and then Windows and Linux.  His technical background has enabled him to find solutions for challenging IT problems.

  Tom Richards
Tom has over 11 years’ experience of solution design for Enterprise IBM i clients.  Currently working as Practice Lead for IBM Systems at Northdoor, Tom is responsible for helping Clients improve their use of IBM i through the use of innovative solution design and technologies.  Previous projects include technical solution design for a number of IBM’s top 10 POWER clients and four years acting as Technical Account Manager around POWER Systems for HSBC Bank.  

  Tsetso Marinov
Tsetso is an IBM POWER, IBM i and IBM Storage technical consultant, specialising in external storage virtualization, PowerVM VIOS and PowerHA for i.  Prior to joining Northdoor in 2015, Tsetso worked in numerous end user IBM i teams including a large high street bank where he was involved in managing large Enterprise POWER servers and DS8000 storage.

  Jesper Omer
Jesper has been working with the IBM Power platform since the mid 1990’s in HT BENDIX A/S, a Danish wholesale company that sells a broad variety of fittings to the furniture, kitchen and woodworking industry across the world.
He has many years of experience in project management of ERP systems development. Jesper is also working with system administration and infrastructure cross various platforms. Over the years he has been in charge of modernizing the companys 5250 based ASTRA/400 ERP system into a smart and effective web based solution using the newest technologies.
Jesper is also a passionated POWER Enthusiast in his sparetime and is the current Chairman of the Board of COMMON Denmark.


Stuart Stebbings
After nearly 26 years at IBM mainly on the AS400, i-Series, Power Systems with IBM-i Stuart now works closely with ARROW, the distributors, and spends time teaching and offering consultancy on a wide range of topics.

Trevor Perry’s role as a FrescheThinker affords him the opportunity to be a thought leader in IT. With regular commentary on the future of IT and IBM i, Trevor is asked to guide and provide innovative strategies to customers around the world. Well-known in the IBM i community for leading efforts to promote modernization, he specializes in setting strategy and direction, aligning business and IT, and guiding entire companies to leverage their IT and IBM i. Outside of his day job, Trevor is a recognized global motivational speaker, author, volunteer, emcee, and storyteller.

  Alan Arnold
Alan Arnold is CTO for Vision Solutions Inc., responsible for global technology, services and support strategy.   Prior to joining in 2000, Alan was a senior technology executive at Ernst & Young, serving as subject matter expert for IBM technology and e-commerce solutions, and a founder of their Advanced Development Center.  Alan is recognized as an expert in advanced technologies, business process improvements and managed availability solutions, having authored numerous books and articles, and with his work presented to the US Senate Technology subcommittee and State of California.  In 2016, Alan was recognized in ComputerWorld’s Premier 100 Technology Leaders awards.

  Stephen Way
Stephen is the CEO of Digital Governance Ltd, a company specialising in helping enterprises understand and control their digital footprint. He has a long career in computing, and been involved with IBM Midrange Systems as a technical lead since the early 1980s, working for a number of companies employing the technology. Latterly his role as IT Director for a large global chemicals and manufacturing company has included digital strategy, governance and service transformation. Stephen is a former COMMON-UK chair and member of the IBM European Customer Advisory Council and has spoken at many COMMON-UK and COMMON-Europe meetings. 

  Doug Mack
Doug Mack is a DB2 for i Analytics Consultant in IBM’s Power Systems Lab Services organization, employed by IBM in the United States.
Doug currently leads the Analytics team for the DB2 for i Lab Services team delivering Query/400 modernization, DB2 Web Query, Data Warehouse design, skills transfer, and implementation guidance services worldwide.
Doug is a regular speaker at customer events including COMMON, IBM Technical
Conferences and Executive Briefings, and has written many articles and white papers on the attributes of DB2 for i for analytics.

Rhiannon Dakin, Marketing Manager, Flynet
Rhiannon works with host application users; liaising with the IBM i, Mainframe, Unix, VMS and MultiValue communities to understand their most pressing problems and ensure the Flynet Viewer product is best placed to solve them.

After over 15 years within IBM, where he worked in both Power Systems as a technical consult and IBM development as a Software Architect, Jeff now works as an independent consultant supporting IBM customers and Business Partners in emerging technologies, first of a kind implementations as well as applications modernisation. 
  John Cummins
John Cummins is Capacity Planning Manager at Nationwide Network Services. 
Network Services provides accident management administration services to insurance companies and fleet operators. The business offers a dedicated call centre service, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.  It is part of Nationwide Accident Repair Services.

  John Easton
John is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and leads IBM's Cloud Adoption teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. These teams help clients best adopt cloud computing to affect business change.  He is internationally known for his work helping commercial clients exploit large scale distributed computing infrastructures, particularly those utilising new and emerging technologies.  
He has worked with clients in a wide range of industries with a particular focus on banks and financial markets firms.  He also has significant experience in the telecommunications sector.  Previous to his cloud computing roles for IBM, John led a pan-European team building infrastructures to support client big data and advanced analytical workloads.
Over his time at IBM, John has led initiatives around hybrid systems, computational acceleration, grid computing, energy efficiency and mission-critical systems.  John is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and a Fellow of both the Institute for Engineering and Technology and the British Computer Society.

  Niels Liisberg
Niels Liisberg has for more than 25 years developed IBMi middleware used in numerous applications worldwide. From business integration with SOA using XML and JSON, web services like SOAP and REST, to full-blown web shops. He is the architect of the widely used IceBreak application server for IBMi. This product has brought him to the technical review board at IBM headquarters in Rochester Minnesota. Over the years he have contributed to the IBMi community with presentations, demos and loads of open source.

  Sam Dix
Sam is a seasoned IBM i and ECM consultant, representing the SoftLanding brand on behalf of Macro 4 and its parent company, UNICOM Global.  With involvement from concept to completion, Sam is focused on driving digital transformation initiatives for companies across Europe.
  Mirco Cayetano
Mirco started his career as a manager in the retail industry and was for many years active in the company Schuitema. As interim manager, he was flown to supermarkets where things right was to be held.
In 2010, he chose the entrepreneurship and ran for five years, two shops and a webshop.
Parallel to this work, Mirco built his skills in the field of IT. He became an IT consultant specializing in optimizing business processes, in which his broad knowledge of databases (SQL, among others) plays an important role.
Meanwhile Mirco has opted for a permanent position in QSL Northern Europe as a technical consultant for the Quick-Software-Line software suite.
Mirco is creative in coming up with IT solutions. He developed a clear client tracking system for our EDD HA clients. As IT specialist he sees possibilities instead of limitations, is efficient and result-oriented which is always paramount interest of the client.
