Following on from the tremendous success of last year's meeting in Haydock, we have decided to bring this multi-stream event over the Pennines to Bradford.
Nowadays NiSUG events are one of the rare opportunities for IT professionals to get out of the office and come and see market leading products and talk face to face with industry specialists. We are planning 16 sessions crammed into one day, one of the highlights promises to be this year's keynote speech which will be on computing futures. We are privileged to get access to IBM’s own internal Computing Futures presenters and we are pleased to have a Distinguished Engineer from IBM – John Easton – to give us this insight into this view of what the future could hold. It is always useful to know what new technologies are lying just around the corner so we can plan for future investment.
The event is split into four streams covering: Strategy, Technical, Labs and Solutions so there should be something of interest from all aspects of IT.
As this year will finally see IBM support withdrawn for v5.4 of the i operating system, we are reprising for a final time the popular upgrade workshop so if you are planning to upgrade to v6 or v7, come along and see how it is done.
In these economic times, delegates to our events demand excellent value and the line up of speakers and topics at this year's event will certainly deliver. And don’t forget the ‘opportunity to relax and mix with other, like-minded professionals and pick up tips and techniques during the free social evening Mi-Pint!
