Riding on the success of last year’s international i-Power event, the i-UG team has been hard at it building a new event that encompasses the well appreciated components of the previous conferences and adding new elements for 2018.
Staple parts of the growing international i-Power conferences, like the Hands-on Day 1 Education, the broad based, multi-stream conference program on Day 2, the User Experience Panel, the Executive session and the Vendor verticals will all stay, as will the evening entertainment.
However, we will be up-scaling the evening with a sit-down dinner and entertainment, which promises to help extend the vital Networking that is so appreciated at i-UG events.
We will also be bringing in renowned International experts to cover both Security and Development on the Education day. Indeed, we are hosting the System i Developer University (SiD), offering in-depth lectures on a wide range of developer topics for IBM RPG and DB2. The SiD has been a popular conference/Summit in the US for many years and here we see it re-introduced to Europe in partnership with i-UG.
On the rest of the education agenda, we are proud to be working with vendors and IBM to bring the best, impartial and up-to-date tutelage to the delegates; none more so than securing Carol Woodbury – the leading light on IBM i security – funded by one of our International i-Power sponsors, Help Systems. Carol is joined by other International speakers like Paul Tuohy and Jon Paris as well as by some of the best loved regular lecturers and presenters such as Steve Bradshaw and David Spurway.
Work on the full programme is well under way and a Call for Papers will help to put the final Agenda together. We will be publishing the detail shortly.
