PDi is one of the hidden gems of IBM i Navigator for Windows. It has been with us since 7.1 and yet few system administrators know about it and even less use it. This tool is free to all IBM i administrators and better yet if loaded on everyone systems and is collecting data by default.
You can use it at high level to track your system health, create a baseline profile for what you system usage looks like when it’s operating normally. And, of course should you have a performance issue, you can use PDi to take a deep dive into your systems performance when you do have a problem.
This browser based Intuitive GUI interface is ideal for both new and veteran administrators.
By the end of this session you will have the skills you need to start exploring system performance on your own IBM i server(s) when you get back to your place of work.
